Elmer Fudd 1
when i started shooting 2 years ago a mate said he would sell his sxp for £150 to me. at the time i thought no more of it but as he now has a hatsan semi with a 11 shot tube on it i would imagine he no longer has use for the sxp sitting at the back of his cabinet. since i already have a b525 with invector+ chokes like the sxp that would be favorable. but saying that i also have a semi auto escort so the compatibility between that and a hatsan pump would be brilliant basically, if i can still get the sxp of a mate then ill go for that. if i cant the ill go for a new sxp of new escort field hunter because at the same prices they are both brilliant guns by the sound of it. arrrg this is hard

Catweazle
I think of the pump action as the gun to take if the conditions are going to be really rough, wet, muddy and horrible. It has to be tough, reliable, tried and tested to keep working whatever you throw at it or in it. It's a Mossberg 500 for me, although I would definitely have a Remington 870 or Mossberg 590 too. mudpatten
Think about buying what all the Yanks use. For the sort of money you`ve got to spend you might have to look at a pre owned one, but the best of them all is the Benelli Super Nova. TrapFiller
Isn't the SXP basically a hatsan anyway. Turkish built and imported.

Scully
Rem 870 or Winchester Model 12. Have to agree with this. Used to own the former(shoud never have sold it)and still have the latter.Great guns. Also like using my sons Mossberg 500 in .410;you can just wave it around like a wand and it throws very impressive patterns.
