There are restrictions on what can be reported and published when proceedings are 'active' which is from the point at which someone is arrested. Also I highly doubt that someone expressing their opinion on here will affect the case and be seen as contempt of court. I doubt cregan will use the well known 'well such-a-body said this on pigeon watch' defence.didn't OJ Simpson use the same technique. Jesus some people take things way to serious. Diceman Posted February 7, 2013 Report Share Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) I thought that there had to be "a substantial risk of serious prejudice" so unless you are posting information outside the public domain that could influence the decision of the judge or jury, ie disclosing previous convictions that were not already generally public information. I don't think any statements of opinion, like calling him an odious piece of scum, are going to get anybody arrested.
