Do you use roasting bags?

The reason I ask is that I did some chicken with one of those Maggi packet things with some stuff in a packet that you tip on the chicken in the roasting bag.

It was a salt bath taste wise but the chicken was lovely soft and moist so I was wondering if anyone just uses the bags?

There are some on fleebay but was wondering what size you would need to put a full chicken in.

Thanks

Regards

Did paprika lamb breast with veg the other night and it was spectacular with a lovely sauce for mopping Would recommend them to absolutely everyone

Oh breast of lamb, I love it, I got some bags from the pound shop (99p) but not tried them yet, might get some breast of lamb now. Did you just put the veg in the bag?

use them most of the time now, except for roast pork and beef. They're great for anything that suffers from drying out. I always use the maggi ones, usually on offer at one of the supermarkets and have some lovely flavours. I usually only use half the flavour bag, as you get quite a lot. They also mean you can just skin your pheasant and pigeons and they wont dry out so much, especially with a bit of streaky on top.
