JDog
I had a drive round some of my farms last night and again today. Within the last three days quite a few fields have been drilled with spring barley and two, on separate farms, have been drilled with spring beans (there are loads on the surface). What is the betting that I get the whole thing wrong on Saturday and Sunday and chose the wrong fields and I have nothing much to show for all this waiting around for spring drilling time to start? An added problem is that there are quite a few pigeons still on rape and even more dotted around in twenties and thirties on clover.

motty
JDog - i'm in the same situation. After waiting for what seems like months for some good pigeon shooting opportunities, a few seem to have turned up at once. I've got a few drilled fields to look at and a few old beet fields that are showing a fair few birds.I've still got a few rape fields as back up, too. Weather permitting, i'll be out for the next three days. Let's hope we choose the right fields and get some good sport.

pigeon controller
On our way back from shooting yesterday we counted 25 plus groups of pigeons on clover in paddocks and fields.
