Has anyone sold a gun via gunwatch ? gunna do a advert for my 4 week old Winchester SXP as the mrs hates it, she only shot 20 through it so its as new really.

Just wondered if the general views are it will fly on there on not ?

People overprice guns all the time. If you are realistic then it will sell easily and ive sold a few on here but always priced them as a "private sale" under what it would be used in a dealer.

I've said it before on here people in the sales section and on gunwatch price their guns ridiculously high.

Often for £20 - £30 more you could buy the same gun new.

It's laughable.

Really? not seen it myself, well priced guns with good advertts go quickly, I am amazed at how poor the adverts are from some....

For sale Gun, Money.............. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

If people can't be bothered to take some photos, write a good description and do some research they only have themselves to blame when the item doesn't sell. :whistling:

Out of interest why did you buy her a 12 gauge pump? They are ungainly & kick like a mule on speed......not a lady friendly gun at all. Are you going to get her another gun? Or just take the hit on the SXP and leave it at that.

Key to a good advert is good photos, good detail (don't assume people know what an SXP is or or going to bother looking it up) and keen price, oh and if accepting RFD transfer know the costs your end.

I wanted to get her a cheap gun thats hers and to honest it doesnt kick that bad she just doesnt like the side ejection as a couple of shells hit the stand and back onto her head and you know what women are like lol

She will just go back to using one of mine as and when she comes shooting

Not just guns, I was after another item on PW recently and the seller wants more than the new price, I was tempted, in fact offered a good price until I done a little research and because seller held off for a few days, I bought elsewhere.

I have had three guns on here,sold one within a week,the last one was a parker hale 800 trap gun made in the winchester factory in Japan,a really nice well made gun,i feel i priced it fairly,i was fed up with time wasters and dreamers offering peanuts,in the end i sold it to a dealer,in my opinion people on here want guns for buttons i well not bother with gunwatch again its not worth the time or effort.And by the way the other gun did not sell that went to a dealer to.
