Bangon
Now Liebour has stated they will not offer a referendum on EU it leaves us with two choices. A conservative vote which will maybe give us a straight in/out vote. Im very much doubting this will happen. There are bound to be some caveats. A UKIP vote which will 100% give us what we want. http://news.sky.com/story/1089665/miliband-rules-out-eu-referendum-promise
four-wheel-drive
So its not going to happen then just the usual load of waffle its doubtful that the conservatives can win next time Labour and Libs will not have a vote on it and it will take UKIP if they do not fold another twenty years to get enough MPs to be able to do anything they will just leave it to muddle along and as in the end things will get better it will all be brushed under the carpet as usual. Chr15j
The next vote will be interesting, wasted Ukip/green/lib dem etc votes and die hard tory/liebour votes, methinks hung parliament and another coalition is looming but who will side with who
Paul223
it would be nice if enough seat are won to see a tory ukip coalition
Gimlet
The next vote will be interesting, wasted Ukip/green/lib dem etc votes and die hard tory/liebour votes, methinks hung parliament and another coalition is looming but who will side with who The only wasted vote in a democracy is one that doesn't get cast. If people don't bother for long enough they invite a one party State, which, in a polite British sort of way, is effectively what we are on the way to, with so little to distinguish the main parties as they grub around to find the least sincere, fag-packet policies with which to tempt tiny swing voter minorities identified by focus groups. Votes are never more valuable than when there is the prospect of a hung Parliament. However much you may despise UKIP or any other small party, when they capture the popular mood and rattle the over-comfortable political elite, they deliver the wake up kick that stops democracy dying of inertia. figgy
If they done what they said they would when we voted them in, it would be better. How can we trust what any politician says when they all spout spin and drivel, basically we will tell them what they want to hear then we will do as we please. Just do your sodding jobs that we the public pay you to do and stop taking the wee wee. We should have referendums on all big decitions, they should look after the day to day details. Totally agree. I know what chris15j is getting at though, votes for 'fringe' parties aren't wasted exactly but the opportunity to elect one party to power is lost, so it will indeed be interesting in 2015. Yeah, I am confused, I thought we were living in a democracy and not a totalitarian regime overseen by your good self.
