PhilR
Did mine a few weeks ago link from the CA. Think all the shooting orgs have it on their websites, some less prominently than others though, thinking CPSA.

David BASC
Dear All, the system did crash and we called the commission this morning, and asked them to get it sorted, its back working now David
Kes
Whilst I have completed the questionaire, I was concerned that the BASC recommended answer was to respond that 'no action necessary'. In respect of gun running across national boundaries, why is the recommended answer 'no further action. I dont find the advice that we received in the e-mail very helpful on this point, seemingly amounting to "its a political agenda just answer 1 to each question". Anyone care to trust me with some details ?

Anyone care to trust me with some details ? OK, my "guess" is that ANY answer suggesting the EU does anything about Firearms lets them get a foothold into control! But, whilst there are plenty of Sheep on this Forum, you are actually allowed to respond to the questionnaire anyway you like!
Kes
Agreed Dekers, but sending an e-mail which doesnt elaborate on this detail can quite easily be seen as "rent a mob" response, which may be helpful to our critics ?

To be honest I rather agree, to Open my BASC email and be told how to respond did seen rather presumptuous!
stokie
My interpretation of any other answer may lead to tighter controls on trading in firearms legitimately . Look what happened to hand guns . A blanket ban on all legally held pistols It is after all EU intervention not a back up of our own British system
MartynGT4
Pointless excercise when filtering our responses out of the results would be as simple as looking for all responses where every political question was answered with a '1'! David BASC
Our advice and guidance is to answer as option 1 - more information here: http://www.basc.org.uk/en/media/key_issues.cfm/cid/5A679161-2463-4C58-A7940A313F7CFE14 However, you are free to answer how you see fit. But before you do read the information on the link I have posted above. Of course you can also leave comments on the BASC site as well. Thank you David
