hedd-wyn
I've been looking for a decent brand of 5.6mm pellets on the market but all I have managed to come across are the new' Bisley Eley Wasps which I am led to believe are pants, and the Old fashioned Marksman pellets, the boxed ones which I always though were pants (I'm willing to be corrected here)Are there any other brands available? Am I right in saying that these pellets work best in the old BSA Meteors? Thanks Hedd
lineshooter
I have a .22 Bsa Airsporter and that seems to like RWS Superfield, stay away from the wasps the quality of these has gone right off, I have a Webley Omega that was deadly accurate with the old Eley wasps but it patterns like a shotgun with the new ones. You could also try Superdomes or Accupel, best if you could borrow some different brands to experiment with.
walshie
Bisley Wasps are pants. correct.
hedd-wyn
Hi I've already sent away for a pellet pack, should be 7 different brands. I opted for... Eley Wasp JSB Exact 5.52 Falcon Accuracy H&N Target Trophy Crosman Premier Air Arms Field Daystate LI Probably made the COMPLETELY wrong decisions here but I don't really know what I'm getting myself into

Zapp
Eley wasps used to be superb. I was horrified when I went to buy some a couple of years ago.

weedraker
I just bought some 5.6mm marksmen, from John Knibbs. I don't think all the marksmen pellets are 5.6 though. They seem ok so far, I bought them to use in my 5.6mm bored webley mk3. Not done much testing compared to the AA field pellets I normally shoot in the 5.5mm bored guns though. Underdog
The accuracy plus Falcons skirts obturate really well and I find in 22 they seem to do well in most guns I have tried. Surprisingly we came across some really cheap Marksman pointed in an old country store a couple of years ago and they were very good in our Beesa's so we returned and bought the lot! They dropped pigeons and rabbits brilliantly! All gone now. U.
hedd-wyn
That's interesting, all I used as a kid were the old Marksman pellets because they were the cheapest suppose. They can still be bought on 'thebay' so I might get myself a box. So do you reckon the pointed worked better than the domed/flat heads Underdog? Underdog
We got some round heads yes but did not seem as good. The 22 pointed we had seemed very well made. I have no idea how old they were! Don.t expect to win any comps with them but in the field at fair airgun distance they did ok in our beesa's. U.

Underdog
Lol. Bud at work found the last few marksman pointed and shot a rested five shot group from his Titan mc010 at 30paces and every one was in 1"and a half! Just like they did in the beesa! U. Wharf Rat
My Supersport patterns like a blunderbuss with Marksmen. BSA are like chewing gum, they distort when you pick them up with wet fingers let alone chamber them. Bisley Wasps are a travesty of their former selves. Good luck! Seriously, BSA did reduce the bore size to 5.5mm earlier than you may think. Check that you actually need the 5.6mm for yours.
