First half great game, second half shocker.A wins a win but probably the least celebrated feeling ive had after one.Took liberties with changing the front row too early and after that we were second to everything and the scrum was a shambles. With all the forced changes the Aussies had we should have dominated the second half but we were keech.Major plus was Sextons play but i do feel for the crims after this.

I don't feel for them Dave!Lol.Athough I hope the injuries they had are not serious!

I'm unbiased too Dave but as a Kiwi at heart I don't like the Crims!!

Just glad the Lions won although they did bring out their get out of Jail card!!Lucky is an understatement!!

Can't believe of how the Lions started off so well in the scrums only to struggle with them in the 2nd half!

Need to keep Beale,Folau and Genia at bay in the second Test though!

With you on that one.

Sky plus the game and managed not to hear anything about it till I watch it now.

Start the next game with both the Youngs brothers on the pitch. North and the back row were great but did not get enough ball second half, sexton is a very clever player.

Overall I you give the Loins 6/10 and the Aussies 7/10. Thank goodness for halfpenny. An unbelievable kicker with pace.

I could go on but won't as I have am open beer I want to get outside of.

Looking at the replays, he appears to have had to rather go out of his way to get that boot in and it wasn't a question of trying to keeping his balance etc.

Worth a warning, but nothing else.

Really do wish they would reinstate some of the old laws though - Rucking was an important part of the game and saved a lot of ball holding and delays at the breakdown.

I have to a massive well done to all the Welsh lads. Without them lions would have no chance.

(I'm not Welsh but am a Celt-and proud of it.)

Mike Phillips was poor on Saturday. If Halfpenny wasn't so prolific with the boot he wouldn't be first choice. Tom Youngs was the outstanding forward with POC a close second. SOME of the Welsh lads played well but others should be worried for their places Saturday.

Edit-spelling.

I agree about Phillips, but don't agree about halfpenny. I think he is the best fullback out there.

I think the other Welsh players did their job at least as well as any other player in the squad could have done. Injury forced some selection decisions, but I don't think the team would have won without the Welsh contingent. Well done the Welsh boys.

I enjoyed the match, but as mentioned Lions only scraped through due to the Aussies bad kicking

North and Cuthbert were like lightning, still a lot of things to work on......can't wait till Saturday :):)

Oh, and good news Tommy Bowe is fit for 2nd test :):)

Rich

And if North and Cuthbert were good, where will Tommy Bowe fit in?

That is a tough one, I'm kind of swinging towards Bow instead of Cuthbert to be perfectly honest.

He hasnt had much match time. He could start on the bench and come on as impact - he plays well with Sexton.
