aga man
couldn't help noticing the pigeons building on this field in the past few days. i am not the worlds best photogragher and the only point to the pictures is to give people an idea of hat the pigeons are up to. the field here is less than half a mile from the city and is totally unshootable. the birds here are head down feeding and most of them are coming from farmland a few miles away bypassing rape barley and peas on there journey. this time last year the birds were hitting laid milky green barley and we were getting some good bags. the pictures were taken at 8pm and birds were still joining the party. the photos only show half the field and do not properly show the amount there. a quick walk proved it is clover they are on. atb aga man. Andy135
I've seen similar down here. Clover at 8pm, right by a busy road. Strange that they stay put when cars pass by but lift off as soon as they see you on foot.

aga man
I know that field.I will keep a look out for the pigeons next week when i am passing. yes ian it's the one and only orchard park estate in the background. over 2000 acres to shoot with very willing farmers and the only place with any stoggies is the next best thing to skint on the tv. [no dis respect to anyone who lives there.] teaming with birds on an evening.

scolopax
Always very good pigeon shooting in that area. Used to do a fair bit down there about 15 years ago. My brother had. 96 on spring beans just next to the bypass a long time ago and my pal also took 100,s off the same fields. The flight line was from Cott and from hedgerows surrounding the school. More woodies in the town than in the country now!
JDog
I saw 200 in a park in S****horpe feeding on clover last week. Clever little devils aren't they? They find food where they can't be shot.

yickdaz
that has become a common site this last few months on my travels, only today after shooting a dozen in a very short session on clover, as we were driving home counted 25 on a horse paddock of only approx. 40 sq yards
