il cacciatore
The massive problem with this is that they want us to stop traveling altogether, I cant help but travel, I even use public transport and I'm still unsustainable. In order to be sustainable everyone needs to start growing their own veg and rearing their own cattle/animals. Cycling everywhere but you'll need to build the bike out of sustainable timber forrests. Wishful thinking this is. The human race isn't sustainable and never will be! Next time you want to get a new gun you'll need to make it out of recycled cola cans and out of a sustainable tree! You'll need to make it yourself to reduce on road miles! See the problem?! ... Damned hippies!
Lancs Lad
Ive got an idea........ SOD rearing your own meat............... Lets all hunt and eat hippies......................that way we will solve two problems in 1...................

Suffolk shooter
CATEGORY GLOBAL HECTARES FOOD 1.5 MOBILITY 2 SHELTER 0.6 GOODS/SERVICES 2 TOTAL FOOTPRINT 6.1 IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 5.3 GLOBAL HECTARES PER PERSON. WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 1.8 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE GLOBAL HECTARES PER PERSON. IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 3.4 PLANETS. My question is what is the point of this and who inputs the data required to get the answer. Sounds like a bunny hugging scare tactic to me. Ok so we are wasting the earths resources to a degree, but this seems a bit over the top. Lets face it, most of us live a "normal" life which is fashioned by where we can afford to live and work. If the government was to stop putting tax's up on everything and allowing immigrants in to our wonderful country then Britain could quite happily live off of the resources it has. I appreciate that certain things such as medicine etc may have to come from overseas, but I deem these to be essentials and not luxuries.
