kennett
If you can't get in the week I would go tomorrow, our rape was cut Thursday and we have just got 150 from it!
Tony G
The field we shot today was finished at midday. Picked
stevekeating
Round our way its all still standing, had a look today and its all falling out of the pods with the lightest of touches. When I checked tonight there were over 200 on the field in one corner. I would get shooting but I don't want to damage the crop fetching shot birds so just a waiting game until the weather changes next week. Bleeh
Shot the day after, about 40 (32 picked).I'm going out tomorrow again to hit the other corner, it is a big field and a good amount of action was happening at the other end. What have all you Guys got that I haven't (except pigeons?) We had the 1st 3 rape fields cut on Thursday. Just a couple of birds there Friday and Saturday, and they are ploughing it today. There are lots of birds scattered around but no concentrated interest in anything. Give me strength!!

They may not be ploughing the field only cultivating it. If that is the case the field may still be of interest to pigeons for some time yet. yickdaz
today I had 60 in 3 hrs on a disced in rape stubble that was combined fri and sat they are quick to find it, if the stubble had been left a few days instead of being immediately disced I would of doubled what I got today
oowee
There are too many other food options here. If they start getting shot at ain one place they can easily move to another. My farmers also a bit quick off the mark no sooner was the first field cut than the mucks out over the stubble. Still plenty more to go at and its good for rooks and crows especially if its wet this week which looks likely.
motty
get on there tomorrow Only if the birds are there - pointless otherwise.
