I have seen this fox a few times and never a safe shot, it never moved from the light on the times I flicked the lamp on it so I knew there would be a chance some time…

She was nearly in the same place as usual so I called quite a few times with only the odd blink as a response…

I had walked 600 yards to get to where I was but she was not budging, so I made the decision to go back…Like foxes I all ways take a last look so after 200 yards I lit her up!

Foxes are nosey and with a nearly full moon and me sky lined she came to see what it was all about.

I had a 400 yard walk and a deep ditch to cross but I had too much time in this fox not to give it a go…

She was front on just looking and as you can see by the picture a very big fox with a full gut, so probably why she was not keen to move that much. 42 inches from the butt and two thirds up the can!

165 yards right in the bib…
