old rooster
he deserves something if he can make that miserable wife of his smile.... I'm sure the amount of money he rakes in makes her grin a bit at times? Didn't he spend half his footballing time in the USA?
Chris Bb
I'd quite like to have a go at making her smile. As long as it wasn't for the wrong reason, of course.
paul65
I'm sure the amount of money he rakes in makes her grin a bit at times? Didn't he spend half his footballing time in the USA? Well, if 5 years is half of 20, yes. Beckham was a great footballer and is a great role model and ambassador for our country. Giving him a knighthood will benefit the country. peejay
would never describe him as a great footballer, never seen him pick the ball up on halfway and beat other players to score, but he was a good free kick/corner taker,
Cranfield
If this bloke can get one, Beckham deserves two, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2503251/Blackadders-Tony-Robinson-gets-knighthood-Prince-William.html
delburt0
Don't no cranners he made me laugh as a youngster ,I would draw the line at floella Benjamin and Brian cant though ,I think they have to draw the line somewhere though maybe 1 knighthood a yr to a deserving person from that yr maybe a public vote would be in order...at the end of the day as many members have pointed out who the hell said let's give JS a knighthood , always scared me there's something about a mad geezer that dyes his hair peroxide and chokes down on Cubans..... norfolk dumpling
Whilst I applaud the good work celebs do - DB, Gary Barlow etc etc - it seems wrong that doctors, particularly A&E guys who save lives daily for much smaller rewards seem to get little public recognition. Had a taste of this recently with our son and am in awe of these doctors. Think we put celebrity over true worth.
bruno22rf
Well said, norfolk dumpling, it should be ones selfless deeds and not their notoriety that is rewarded.
