TOM'S DAD
Your in for a real treat when you eat that I take it they do not make great eating. Is this another " cook the bird with a brick recipe"
Big Mat
I shot a hen shoveler 6 weeks ago. Its in the freezer, not quite decided how to cook it yet to get rid of the smell! I take it they do not make great eating. Is this another " cook the bird with a brick recipe" when you butcher it, you'll know by the smell what we mean
yickdaz
I just sliced the breast meat and fried it for a few mins each side and it was fine
The Ghost
I would just eat the feathers on the shoveler, I have always thought that the meat may be ok in breadcrumbs and served with chips and peas....taste's a bit fishy to me. Good shooting by the way...looks like you had a great day.
