Farmer's Archer.

Rung the Farmer yesterday afternoon to say I be calling up later that evening with my Foxing rifle and my Archer NV unit to see what was mooching about.

When I got there I asked him did he see anymore Rats in the shed and he then said I've got an Archer like yours for the Rats!!"I said you bought an Archer"?He then showed me his Ratting set-up.

I gave him a Gen 1 Monocular a while back as I wasn't needing it and he'd attached it to his Nikko Sterling Gold Crown scope with a few cable ties on top of his superb Feinwerkbau Sport Mk2 .22 spring powered air-rifle.Great idea!!

We then headed off to the Shed. After me scanning the shed with my Yukon Ranger Pro NV Monocular and the Farmer scanning too we'd spotted a Rat about 20 yards away.I then whispered can you see the Rat and he said yes I can see it now you've put your IR laser on it.With a squeeze of the trigger the H+N Field Target Trophy pellet hit its target!!

We didn't see any Foxes but the Farmer was pleased with getting one Rat with what he called "His Archer"post-12095-0-56109200-1386035083_thumb.jpg

He's put the NV Monocular on a Spring Rifle without a rubber eye-piece which isn't exactly ideal but like he said its ok for now.

I think he's gonna buy a Multi-Shot PCP in the New Year along with a Yukon Photon NV sight which will be a much better set-up for Ratting.
