digger
Walked into the office at six this morning to be nabbed by the site safety officer. He told me to get any scaffolding up on any of my sites dropped today or tomorrow, without fail.Even went as far as to offer other scaffolding firms rates just to drop and leave on site. Looks like they are taking the forcast seriously so if you are out and about, go steady :yp:

A cladding company we supply through work is equally worried, some sites have 50-70+ mtr lengths of cladding in situ' on site, (on new build factory roofs)! :yp: this weather's not to be taken lightly if your in that type of work. digger
unfortunately for the self employed lads on my firm the housing association we have the maintenance contract with have seriously gone over budget.the only works they will issue are emergency call outs and health & safety issues.so as i was in their boots this time last year fencing and even slightly damaged roofs will be included in the criteria.heres hoping its an ill wind that blows good

Axe
The winds are certainly causing havoc. Listening to the radio on the way into work this morning and everywhere is effected. Downed tress mostly, one dead so far, M25 blocked, Brighton to a standstill. What a mess. Im just glad my flight was cancelled to Dublin. That would have been a rough ride. Got farm work to be getting on with, but i'm staying in out the way till it passes on. I just seen what appeared to be a bed sheet fly past the window at a rate of knots
