Windy...

It is blowing a serious hoolie down here and apparently it gets worse this afternoon, before easing overnight.

Since the hurricane in 1987 (when we lost half the roof on our previous house, most of it embedded in our cars  ), my Wife does not like the sound of wind roaring.

At the moment it sounds like a cross between a jumbo taking off and a train coming out of a tunnel. :P

wasnt nice this afternoon was it

had tree's down all over the place, had to take a very odd route home this evening because of all the closed roads.

We had a tree go through my room (1 yr prior to me being born) in the storm. As it happens i also recently found out that the hurricane or 87 was actually not a hurricane, it only qualified as a strong wind

watched a few trucks have a few scary moments over the bridge on the A21 today, kept my distance as my little clio wasnt enjoying it either.

did 23 storm damage inspections today and got all day monday on them too.

luckily no injuries just a lot of structural damage and insurance claims.worst was in clapham park where a beech tree was snapped off eight feet above the ground and wrecked the fronts of two houses.best was a tenant who wanted me to go round and stop one of her trees from being blown over :good:

i have been out shooting rooks this mornin and when that have been flying with the wind i have been giving them between 6 and 12 feet lead and i shot 11 with 18 shots before i thought i was wasting cartriages

Bloody hell mate. You must be a Demon shot. :)

Most of us on here think that 18 for 11 is a good shot to kill ratio :)
