sitsinhedges
Just wondering how people have found the reclaimed shot sold on ebay? Is it badly oxidised or out of shape and full of grit or very variable in size etc? I'm thinking of buying a large package of it for claybashing duties at £1.30/kg for the ungraphited stuff. vmobiler1
I got some, it does vary in size with some out of shape and is not the cleanest of shot but on saying that it is relaimed shot, he does have other shot too. I made some up for claying, plenty good enough for breaking clays, others would argue that its out of shape and not as accurate and cant get the pattern etc.... I would say the gun is pointing in the wrong direction to break the clay !!!

PaulN
I've had two batches. Both clean, graphited and excellent value for reloading. Good service and recommended if you're near Doncaster.
super sharp shooter
Just a question about it. Do they put it through a metal detector incase there is any steel in it.
robbiep
I assume it's passed through magnets to pull out any steel, as the ebay ad says that is steel free
snarepeg
I believe Mick has fitted a stronger magnet to remove the steel, saying that I pour mine into bottle thru a large funnel with a strong magnet, the shot is good value and used in conjunction with a plas wad works well, I've stopped making it, at that price it's not worth it but he is only 15 minuets from me. sitsinhedges
I've got 30kg on the way now for clays but I'll still be making the bigger stuff for pigeon shooting. Hope it's as good as folk reckon it is or that will be going into the shotmaker too.
johnphilip
I got 40 kilos have used about half of it on 20 bore at the clays, seemed to work fine. There was not much steel in it all.
demonwolf444
plan on picking some up soon. I will run it down a gutter with a strong magnet ( the kind that clamps around water pipes for removing iron from water ) a couple of times to double check for steel before it goes in the muzzle loaders.
