Gordon R
Bluebarrels - I see you can't stand the heat in the kitchen. You should read some of your own posts. Hilariously inconsistent. We can both now withdraw from the thread - if you are capable of keeping your word.

fenboy
looks like this thread has slipped by the moderators I personally cannot understand why people jump in with both feet and assume something is unsafe , rather than crediting the person in having enough sense that it would be . And lets be honest at the angle the shots were taken a plum falling from a tree will cause you more damage than a airgun pellet will
Gordon R
Fenboy - my problem is the shot at the end. Shooting a clay on the floor - no idea where the fragments might go.

Teal
I'm not a ballistics expert, but surely firing an air rifle pellet in the air it will travel less far than shotgun pellets. I can't think anyone would question the positioning of the trap if he was breaking the clays with a shotgun. It's not as if the lad is firing a rimfire. It's a good shot, not unbelievable, but certainly a nice one to have on film. It seems everyone is fairly civil, but play nice... or else! double10
It's very entertaining all of this It may be childish but I do agree which is your favourite line so far? Mine is 'We could indulge in a battle of wits, but you are clearly unarmed and I don't like to take advantage.'
-Mongrel-
Mine is 'We could indulge in a battle of wits, but you are clearly unarmed and I don't like to take advantage.' The old ones are the best, and it's stolen not original, but, as stolen lines go, some Shakespeare is a good one to quote. Yes , I would agree that was a little daft , but we have all done daft and indeed dangerous things as kids have we not, I have certainly done things I would not consider doing now as a adult. turbo33
Well I personally think it was a good shot, especially as its with a .22 springer, recoil, surge, loopy trajectory etc. I've seen plenty of chaps miss a clay like that with a cartridge containing upwards of 200 pellets I'm with Teal on this, we've all been on clay/game shoots with fallout all around, clays, shot etc. Crikey, I've nearly taken myself out in the hide before with a pigeon Completely different from a horizontal shot in some ones direction. Mentalmac
wow, best 10 min read so far this week. Good old PW arguments make this the best forum out there - seems to me they arguments always about the same things. I must admit that shooting a exploding clay a few feet infront of you and laughing like a moron is a bit silly, but shooting in the air from a airgun I didn't see a problem with if the shooter knew where he was shooting. Or else squirrel and roost shooting is a no go too.

Ttfjlc
Not that difficult to be honest, would of been more credible using a smaller pellet (.177)

captainsensible
Piece of pi** shot really, now if he had done it backwards, over his shoulder using a mirror then I might have been impressed (Being sarcastic, by the way, in case that needs underlining) Great little video mate and hats off to him
