Daz2381
Hi All, Not posted in while, but I have some thing to share! I thought about reloading shotgun cartridges not because I thought it would be cheaper but to just expand my hobby. Well 6 months ago I got a Lee Load All 2 from the Staes when visiting. Well that is as far as I got, until the Scone game fair when in a moment of madness I bought every component I required. Well I finished work early today so on returning home I grab everything commandeered the table and started weighing powder to ensure I had the correct bushing. Once happy with that I continued on to make some cartridges. Here is my first it is 32g Thanks for your time guys Daz
jam1e
Never made my own 12g cartridges, but from what I can see it looks like a nice crimp! Jamie

kent
yes, although I have loaded for rifle for years I said the same about shotgun loading, then I said only for the ten bore now I am looking towards loading for the 12 for the coming wildfowling season (is it my resolve slipping or my enthusiasm gaining momentum I wonder ). Looks a tidy shell, one thing I found was like rifle ammo not all loads worked for me a couple of highly recommended loads just didn't pattern well in my gun, give them a go and see
figgy
If your using your loads in a semi-auto some have feed issues with the crimp being square a quick spin on the drill with gaep spinner will put a nice taper to the crimp. Good first cartridge, tell us how it shoots. Figgy
Guest cookoff013
the mec 9000 has a taper crimp finish die to allow feeding in automatics, i can get a virgin case to look almost like factory, the 8 point crimp looks almost round after precrimp and crimp. the taper die just finishes. turbo33
That's looking really good by any standards, let alone just starting As Figgy says, just a quick kissing with a Gaep spinner will make that look factory made, pm roughshooter on here for one. Getting the wad column right is most of the battle and it looks like you have it spot on, don't change anything!!
Underdog
Nice...I never had a loading issue in numerous autos from my ancient load all!
turbo33
Very under rated press, the Lee. Yes it may be a bit "plasticy" but it does a very good job without all the faffing about adjusting stuff The Mec is a great tool, but it is a labour of love to get it set up, and can drive you to drink trying to do so Edited July 16, 2014 by turbo33

motty
Bought my 20g spinner from him. Is it a proper Gaep? The cheaper rto tools aren't nearly as good.

Daz2381
All, Thanks for the comments, I will look in to the gaep. Anyone know what sort of price these will be and is it one for all 12g or are there many different types for different tapers? Cheers Daz
