Davyo
After reading much hype regarding the T20 I decided to purchase 3.1 red and 2x Ir's,reluctantly I sold my NM800 turbo red led with add IR pill in a spare neck, but the money I sold the NM set up for more than covered the cost of the 3x T20's plus batts plus chargers. The NM800 was a bit of a pain changing the necks(easy but I wanted a red & an ir at hand and purchasing another NM was out of the question). So when the T20's came to mind,it ment I could have the best of both. The T20 without a shadow of doubt is the best value for money, but the build quality is not a patch on the NM.There is a horrible play on the neck if it is anywhere inbetween tight beam and flood, where as the NM had no play at all, plus one of the IR pills died after about 40hrs use.Beam wise the T20 IR is perfect for rimmy, again not as good as the NM (even with a doubler fitted) The red T20 again is a good beam and perfect for rimmy but not a patch on the NM800.The T20's are 3 diff brands and overall they are brilliant for the money, but this is reflected in the build quality. The doublers in my opinion are a waste of money and just make a nice compact torch bulky and unbalanced, plus in my case it had to be set back on the scope as interfered with the front of the scope. The NM800 beam wise is unbeatable but comes at a price and when the T20 very close but a 1/4 of the price it makes sense to go for the T20.I only had ond issue with the NM and that was the stupid twisting the neck business to get the 3 modes.I ended up marking the neck once this position was found, not very good for a torch at this price.NM800 turbo kit £184.00 red ledADD IR IN SPARE NECK £82.00Total cost for NM set up £266.003x T20's with 2x chargers and 5 batteries,£98.T20 wins but its the cost only, great value. nderfel
I have a t20 and my shooting buddy a nm800. I completely agree, the Nm is definitely better but not for the extra cash, not unless you are using it for centrefold foxing You don't think the doubler is worth it then? I was tempted to get one
Peskyfoxs
I have just true a t20 with my starlight archer nv when I had to send my firefly laser back for repair. For the money the t20 is great but not a patch on the firefly when looking through a scope.

Anyhow I sold the doubler this morning.
mick miller
T20 isnt perfect but its cheap. There is a better torch out there for the same money but Im keeping schtum about it. The nightmaster is poop in my opinion, very poor design but what a great lens! Having to slack off the head in order to access the three modes, what the hell is that all about? al4x
The t20 I have got is poo in comparison to my nm800. So if you want an ir one and really want to try it let me know as it's nigh on useless in comparison. Definitely cheap for a reason
rich1985
Got a t20 on my DIY n.v, find it good, it on my 17HMR, bait a lot of foxes with it kill em at 100 plus yards no prob with t20, plenty good enough for what I want. I have used a mates firefly laser and that was remarkable but I cannot afford to be spending that sort of money,

mick miller
Can I ask why? Yes, it's relatively obvious though, as soon as I open my big trap on a forum they'll either get snapped up by someone wanting to make a few quid, which means I'll have problems getting them, or the price will go up rapidly. Simples.

Simples. So are people just buying these in and marking up (selling on to gain profit),or are they buying componants and building? On the NVF at the moment T20 WARS has kicked off,and they are all slagging off a bloke who appears to of had the % of the market for quite some time. Now all of a sudden we all are being told that we have unsafe chargers and batteries ect. They really aren't doing anything for customer confidence in the products they sell.I initially thought the saving in costs against the NM800 was worth the drop in performance but in reality it clearly wasn't.You realy have to buy a branded charger(dont just swap the plug) and good quality batteries. These add on's can push the T20 cost up to around £80. Edited October 4, 2014 by Davyo
rich1985
I bought 2 nite scout t20 IR 3mode tourches for my DIY night vision rig, I cannot say I have had any problems what so ever with them and can't say I can complain, yes I do have to take a couple spare battery's with me but for the price of the unit I find this acceptable.
