I have shot here on and off for a good few years, never had a bad day, but you get what you pay for......do not expect to be shooting something every drive or to be filling your boots. Lots of ducks, some good birds if you are selective, partridges were hit and miss, pheasants more reliable.

Early season was always best, definitely over shot in the past, but I here there has been changes recently. Based on several separate farms, large acreage, some more game friendly than others.

Depends when the birds are released? Local commercial shoot will be shooting pheasants next week but the birds are released in June and they are driven from cover crops.

I have never met Lee but I am sure if he wasn't confident the shoot could provide both the numbers and the quality he wouldn't be advertising the day?

Very true, I am out next Saturday, might need to be selective on the odd bird but we expect a good bag.

As post 24 says, he shouts at people to shoot duck on the pond if your at true sportsman you wouldn't even dream off that, if Winnie said jump off a cliff would you all do it. We gave had some good bags 50+into January. It is want you make in not what your told.

The day has now been cancelled due to lack of numbers I'll try and sort another in the next few weeks less guns!

but if your not interested in coming then that's fine let others enjoy there day and have there own view of the shoot as I my self will promise they have an enjoyable day

  • 2 weeks later...

My poults will be around 22 weeks when we start shooting 8th November. But shot a few wild cocks last week in full colour with long tails this years birds except a stonking old cock weighing nearly 2 kg biggest I've ever shot or seen, as said depends on what time of year they hatch.
