sishyplops
I can't work out how to add a link to a gun on gt but it's worth viewing just to look at it, if you search on gt for aya xxv there's one with gold plated barrels, not my thing but man you would need to be a good shot to have one like that! loriusgarrulus
There was one like that at Cheshire gun room last time we were there :( I don't like gold bath taps either.

sishyplops
Thanks for the link will, I wonder why the former owner is selling it? Perhaps it belonged to jordon
JohnfromUK
Don't like the gold - but the wood is lovely. Unchequered is unusual, but I believe Greener 'family' guns were usually unchequered. I have a gun which is now almost unchequered (i.e. its very worn!) and its not a problem to handle at all. fortune
Is this the one? http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/AYA_Shotgun_xxv-gold-barrels_For-Sale_141028163429733 I hate it. It looks cheap and taky. A real Del boy job. Now strip all that gold junk off and have it natural steel. I've got a 25 bl and a 25 sl. and I love them both but not this. YUCK. The wood is nice. Was it a gangster special? Edited October 28, 2014 by fortune
HDAV
Probably the same gun that was in cheshire gun room, at elast with it being gold plated no need to worry about it rusting what with photoshoot being in a puddle............ Not the first though...... Mick Shepherd had a gold 1100 remmy IIRC
figgy
A nice gun for the asking price with a stunning stock. Give others something to talk about on a shoot day. Best get it into a Essex gun dealer, should go on n a week. Figgy
aw1967
I have a friend who used a gold plated Beretta at a corporate do he invited me to - the gun belonged to his boss who had refused to use it and claimed that he did not know it was gold when he bid on it at auction My friend couldn't shoot straight with it but it was a fine talking point for the whole day and at the following year's event! Beretta06
A fun talking item for the gun room - however the thought of seeing it (let alone shooting it) on a driven day leaves me cold!
aris
Surely only suited for a wall-hanger. Plated gold will wear off very quickly - particularly when it gets very warm!

Kalahari
If it is the one I think it is the stock is horrible when you actually see it. David.
