spandit
Appropriately, my cocker flushed one in our hedge last week. I've seen a few on our land but not interested in shooting them

Aled
We've had two cracking crisp frosty winter days on the trott here this week. Boy would i love to be hunting the hedgerows with a dog. Cheers Aled
Aled
Well did our yearly all dayer in prime woodcock country in my corner of West Wales. We saw 12 which is a lot fewer than usuall! Sadly we only bagged 1, but we enjoyed the long walk, and managed a pigeon, snipe, grey squirrel, and a collard dove as well. ollie
We had a good day on them yesterday. Flushed 12 & shot 8.
Nmb
We were out on Boxing Day for a walk up day on our moss and only seen 7 (shot 1). This is down on normal numbers but given it was -7 I'm guessing they have moved to the coast? Nick
Aled
I think due to the mild weather they are not here in usuall numbers. We still had a hedgehog feeding on our lawn in December! Cheers Aled
E.w.
Had an invite to a woodcock shoot on the Llyn peninsula, what a fantastic day, we managed 52 woodcock 2 pigeons 1hare and a lot of birds missed not had such a good day in a long time. A big thank you to John and the gang you have a great shoot there.

E.w.
52 Woodcock! That's one hell of a bag, must be a good spot for them. All the best, RTIt was the first time for me to shot there but the woodlands were fantastic and the amount of birds missed you would not believe, it a private shoot and invite only no charge and they shoot it three times in the season only the odd thing was it was prime ground for pheasant but only two accounted for all day. cyffylog
Sounds superb. Had a good season in West Wales, good numbers of birds in my opinion. Pob hwyl RT
E.w.
Honestly it's been a poor start here in parts of north wales but all of a sudden the birds are all over here now. I've had some good rough shooting days with my pal but have never seen the numbers of birds like yesterday at times the amount of shots going off you would have thought it was a pheasant shoot. Aled
I think the nice cold snap we had last week has bought a few more in, saw one today whilst surveying a footpath (part of my job!) Cheers Aled

Salop Matt
I didnt as I dont have a hat or anything to put them in, they would just sit on a shelf collecting dust only to be hoovered up by accident at some point !
