robbiep
Congratulations on breaking the law, and pleading guilty to it, to save the courts time and money of a trial. Numpty.
fse10
Congratulations on breaking the law, and pleading guilty to it, to save the courts time and money of a trial. Numpty. Not quite sure i like your tone mate, but a lot of keyboard warriors on here. Did not know you could not shoot game on a Sunday seems daft to have a season for pheasant that you can only shoot it 6 out of 7 days. May be an idea to point out the error with out the insults I could respond with some childish name calling but won't lower myself to your level Edited November 16, 2014 by fse10
flynny
Expect some stick over this mate, as long as you live and learn and do some reading up over the next few weeks , and adhere to what you learn you'll be ok, There is more to this shooting lark than just pulling the trigger mate, It's illigal to shoot game on a Sunday mate, vermin crack on, but please do a bit of reading / googling on the general licence and shooting live things before you go out with the gun next time, Happy shooting and keep within the law, the antis don't need much to mess up the future of our sport, and your post , shows us all in a bad light!!!!!! May be an idea to point out the error with out the insults I could respond with some childish name calling but won't lower myself to your level As flynny says, your post shows every shooter up in a bad light. What's next, taking shots at deer with a shotgun ? If you don't know the law, then put the guns away until you do. My tone might be a bit abrupt, I'll accept that. But you own a firearm. You are reasonably expected to know the law. As in virtually all other fields, ignorance of the law is not an excuse in a courtroom.
fse10
I accept that i should have a read up on a bit more info i did know it was pheasant season but was unaware of the no game on a Sunday law when you look on BASC web page for game seasons it's not until you get half way down the page that the Sunday restriction is mentioned . Will not make that error again & has been said you live & learn. Safe shooting.

Although essex are taking so long i could prob do a degree in gamekeeping before my cert arrives.

BIG 5
You can shoot deer on a Sunday in England and duck in some counties. They are game. But yes stupid laws.
The Essex Hunter
Well it is about time they changed it.....out dated law that needs re dressing.... Granted people should know what is going on....however the game licence went a good time ago and the act is so old it could do with overhauling.... If any thing should be done is shunt the game season a month later to give the young birds a bit more time and finish it all on the 20th of Feb....
