colin lad
just got back from a short bunny session with the hmr and nv, not had my hmr out for a couple of months now been using the lr so 1st thing i did was pop up quick target up and pop 3 rounds in it at 50-60 yards and it was bang on the money, an hour walk about and had half a dozen rabbits between 40-80 yards started to get chilly so off back to the car, on reaching car had one last pan round with the torch and there 40 yards out sat mr fox, so torch in pocket gun up on sticks nv turned on and he still sat there so upped mag to about x10 and defiantly a fox and he almost filled the scope so cross hair between the eyes breath out and slowly squeeze the trigger and missed how the heck did that happen??, popped another target out and still bang on the money ?? totally stumped on this one colin

Whitebridges
There's always another day. You were lucky to get out. It rained and rained here yesterday, never stopped for 24 hours.
Zetter
Really odd roughly smack on seconday Zero rogue round maybe? I had that the other week with the air rifle at a rabbit, 25 yards off the pod and missed it completely. I also put a target out after nearly throwing the rifle across the yard and put the remaining 9 shot through a ragged hole . Still 6 Rabbits is nice I only got two dodging the showers on Satuday. Mentalmac
Hi Colin, I had this a while back but with a bunny - was such a dead cert shot I had almost started to plan what to eat with it... off quad sticks... just 45 yards and missed - I believe that either it was a jedi, or Neo from the matrix's love child with a bunny he met in Essex... very odd. Same thing, checked zero on way back to truck and all good... The only real thing I put it down to is sometimes subconsciously you must be so certain that it's an easy shot, without knowing, you become complacent and fluff it up. FOXHUNTER1
Hi Colin, It always seems to be the easiest shots that get missed mate ....we all do it. I think sometimes sub consciously you think that you cant miss and switch off so to speak and the result is a miss.... He who has never missed has never pulled the trigger
