A 1966 port would be good - but you would also need cheese, I guess!

Cheese in stock. Got raw wine also, grapes

There is some port in the hamper but sadly the "oddbins" down the village is out of the 66. :(

I'm sure a glass will be raised to yourself also, for the grand gesture and supporting the charity

Well done to Old Farrier and to Beretta 06 your and your good ladies generosity is admirable.

Gestures like have been made on this forum makes it what it is.

Old Farrier I would be very interested in a price to have a shooting stick made by your friend of my cocker dog.

Hope the young champion and all on the Crown shoot have the best day. A restless night will be had by a few I reckon thinking of ways to make a great day better :good:

Will do my best to make this years charity shoot and hope to meet Beretta 06 and that Old Farrier our very own digweed ringer makes it again :good:

I would be interested as well with with a reminder of my springer "Marco" who i lost last Feb :)

Hi

As ayano3 says he hand carves them I believe these are from holly he also uses rams horn and buffalo (my favourite ) and the odd antler

I think it was fenboy asked about cost it depends what you want and the medium you wish to use

He's a bit like Purdys if you have to ask you can't afford one and as for time to make it it'll be ready when I'm happy with it is his usual reply

And his reject bin would make you cry

Bit of a perfectionist (OCD )

All the best

Of

This is OF quote from another thread

They are true works of art

Absolutely phenomenal, truly incredible! Good luck for everyone shooting in the morning and an incredible effort for everyone involved here. I am very happy to confirm the full payment for £850 (which is well over £1000 once gift aid has been taken into account) has been received and is on the way to Orchid via JustGiving. Look forward to reading about the day and for everyone who bidded, for the crown shoot, for Gnome and for the winning bidder- wow. You have all done something amazing.

I didn't break house rules then

I hope Gnome is feeling better now after so much bring raised. He was absolutely gutted that he had to cancel my prize of a day on the Crown at such short notice.

I'm happy to report that the wind has died down and the birds are still about.

Stay safe and happy shooting

Mark

William,

I posted the link clearly showing I had made the donation. I am mildy offended that you felt the need to post your 'confirmation', especially after 7 previous pages of your resounding silence.

All Teal is doing is confirming the amount going to the charity and absolutely no need to be offended, even mildly.A top job by yourself and all involved as Will as said.

The wind was a tad brisk today. The expected bag was 50 but we only managed 39 pheasant, a woodcock, 3 pigeons, a Jay and squirrel all for 224 shots. Sadly we didn't get a chance on the ducks but a good day was had by all :good:

B06, we did as you requested and raised a glass to loved ones no longer with us. I also proposed a toast to yourself for you generosity. We went through the best part of 5 bottles of Prosecco, 2 bottles of port and 2 sloe gin between all the guns and beaters.

Pictures and report will follow on the shoot topic in due course. We are now in the pub celebrating the day and money's raised for charity.

Once again thanks to everyone involved

:good: :good: :good:
