Grazy
Hi, can anyone recommend a boot jack that is good for leather boots and doesn't mark.

Beretta06
I have an aluminium Le Chameau one - seems to work well, doesn't mark and hasn't broken on the occasions I have dropped it!
Grazy
Thanks I'll look them up. Was concerned that a wooden or,plastic one would mark the leather.
Cosd
I have the Aigle one and that hasn't marked my boots. It is a wooden one with rounded edges and there is a strip of rubber to protect the boot. http://www.countryhouseoutdoor.co.uk/footwear-c30/care-and-repair-c31/boot-jack-p128 Edited January 13, 2015 by Cosd

norfolk dumpling
Mine was a freebie with a two purchase deal with a specialist wellie stall at a gamefair. It's made by Muckboot and has nicely rounded edges which I suspect is your requirement. Had it few years now and still in good nick. Hunter one only lasted a season. loriusgarrulus
I have a wooden one my Dad made about 30 years ago with the internal edges rounded. Works fine.
grrclark
I made one out of a bit of spare beech i had lying around. Round over the edges with a rasp and sand smooth, Took all of 30 mins to make and works perfectly on rubber or leather boots with no marks. You could use any type of wood to do the same thing. I saw a Dubarry branded one that was £30. The original cast iron boot jacks shaped like bugs can be worth a fair few quid to collectors. Dougy
Blimey, you can knock one up in 2 minutes. Admitted not used on leather boots but never had a problem with my Aigle wellies
