Tattooed
Hi, Had 12 lessons at the clay pigeon shooting and love it. The thing is, I am I doing it wrong? I follow the clay/bird all the way and then fire, is that wrong? Any advice?
TaxiDriver
12 lessons and you have to ask on here During your lessons, Are you hitting them ?
Andy135
Surely that's a question for your instructor, not for us lot who've never seen you shoot...
Country Boy
You don't say if, when you've 'fired' that, the target is hit or missed ??
jimmydean
If what you say is taken literally, you are never ahead of the clay and cant have hit very many/any. I presume your teacher is a friend, as I cant imagine paying for 12 lessons and hitting none. Maybe you can reconsider the post ?

fortune
I dont really understand what you are meaning in your original post. perhaps you could re read it and explain a bit more about what is happening. Watch the videos on youtube by **** ******* and Chris Batha or Gil Ashe >> Ect. Loads of good advice on there. There is good advice on here also if we could understand your post. Why has this persons name been blanked out? they are not offensive words, Edited March 8, 2015 by fortune
wymberley
If you have a qualified instructor and by "following the clay all the way" you mean in front of it, then this method is called 'sustained lead' and is a recognised method. Should you actually mean what you wrote, change your instructor.

wymberley
Maybe, it depends what type of target he was shooting. Yep, it could be a springing teal and by following behind and shooting if you time it right you can hit it on the way down.
jimmydean
Maybe, it depends what type of target he was shooting. If he has had 12 lessons and only shoots one type of bird ............. ?
ladyjack
if after twelve lessons you still cant hit anything, ide be asking for my money back
Suffolkngood
Basically you just need to arrange a collision. This means shooting at a point in front of the clay depending on its speed and distance so that it and your shot string reach the same point at the same time. As my dad would say..........shoot where it's going boy and not where it's just bloody been! Edited March 8, 2015 by Suffolkngood
