sitsinhedges
Coming up thanks to my new PID temperature controller on the shotmaker. Despite the weather not being ideal I gave it it's first run out today with the shotmaker sitting just inside my workshop and me sitting just outside giving it a rap now and again. I think the 0.5mm holes in the drippers are about as small as you can reasonably go and still get the lead to drip well. Barely a bad pellet amongst all 12kilo's

Gordon R
I made my own shot many years ago and can appreciate the efforts of someone who is light years ahead of me. Well done.
TIGHTCHOKE
12 kilos of what shot size? Does it relate to the 0.5mm holes?
sitsinhedges
12 kilos of what shot size? Does it relate to the 0.5mm holes? It makes 392 pellets to the oz, (7.5 shot) in my set-up. I reload 20gauge shells with 23grams of this for claybashing. Works a treat. Apparently there's over 100kg of scrap lead on the site where I've just started working and the Site Agent told me to bring a bucket to work. I've got a BIG bucket ready for tomorrow
bruno22rf
Seen to remember buying some shot from you a few years back, sitsinhedges-still got some and the quality has never failed to impress me
sitsinhedges
Seen to remember buying some shot from you a few years back, sitsinhedges-still got some and the quality has never failed to impress me I recall you calling round too, for loading black powder IIRC. It was good to meet you. This PID heat controller came from ebay for less than a tenner and is so much more advanced than the simmerstats I've been using all this time, wish I had bought one years ago. sitsinhedges
looking good sits i am waiting for the weather to hot up a bit then il start there will be enough scrap without the weather been against me lol Definitely easier when the weather is hot but I wanted to give the new controller a run and despite the weather being rubbish for shotmaking now it came out a treat.
