oliver90owner
Panasonic or another of the well respected manufacturers. More expensive but full spec items. Look on u-toob or goggle for the tricks some suppliers get up to! Most certainly the largest capacity lead/acid would be best if actually lamping and not 'night visioning'. Billy.
For a worthy long length battery for lamping, you should really look at going down the Lipo route. They have an incredible energy density and will usually weigh half the equivalent Ah of a comparable lead acid one. It'll cost you more in short term, but make it worth it over the long. wymberley
I don't know how they compare pricewise with other compatible makes, but the Nightmaster 3400mAh - their standard 18650 is 2600 - does well.

steve_b_wales
Make sure you buy quality batteries. I bought 'cheaper' ones via Ebay, and they were useless. I ended up paying for dearer ones, which has proved to be better in the long run. Also, a good quality charger makes a lot of difference.
