tony1
My shot gun has been stored in its cabinet for 12 months since last used then cleaned and put away. I removed it couple of weeks ago, when checked only one barrel would fire. when the trigger is pulled, if I use over first the under won't fire use under first the over won't fire. but the both barrels will fire if I move the safety switch over manually. I have cleaned and oiled it again as well giving a blast of air. any suggestion what to do next before having to send it to a gun smith? subsonicnat
if its NOT (LIVE) Firing, it will not change over ?. Its The recoil that changes over to the NEXT Barrel..

robbiep
I can confirm this is how Medalists are supposed to work. If no cartridges in then the trigger does not automatically reset for the second barrel

fizzbangwhallop
Thump the end of the butt with your palm to allow the "recoil" to set the second trigger. Cheers Fizz
welshwarrior
That the Magic of Interia triggers they need recoil.

clayman
To test the inertia reset system dry, put in two snaps and pull one barrel as normal, then give the gun a good thump butt down onto a carpet or surface that wont damage the pad, and the thump should set the second barrel to fire. If it does, nought wrong with the gun.
