Scully
Mate has recently insured his by another company after being with the NFU for years, who wanted twice what he has got the same deal for with his latest brokers. Another bloke at work discovered that by cancelling his current policy come renewal and opening another policy with the same company, but as a 'new' customer, can save him around 60 quid. Why some companies drive away regular custom by pricing themselves out of the market is beyond me.
dougall
'tis an unethical game which must be played each year.....same applies to Household too..kick up a stink and you get put through to ''customer retention team'' who just make it up until you're happy.Dreadful behaviour but seems to be widespread

NFU are a good insurance company when we repair their customers cars they are repaired with genuine parts and nothing is repaired that shouldn't really aught to be Other budget insurers use after market panels and insist on repair over replace which the policy holder has agreed to in their small print. We quite regularly have to repair stuff we really don't want too but live under the threat of contract loss ie do as we say or lose our work Don't forget when you need to make a claim you are not the body shops customer the insurance company is and they do as the insurance company says

I checked out prices on a comparison website, and LV offered same insurance for £47 less. But I had to take out a new policy.
lexikia
Had same with Swinton a couple of years ago, policy increased by over 30%. So went on comparison site and Swinton was cheapest, took this policy and was asked for a copy of my no claims. Phoned them to tell them they already had a copy but they were insistent and had to request a copy and email a copy to them. Currently with Admiral but expecting same this year.
