JDog
The 13th May is the traditional date in some parts of the country to shoot branchers. I cringe now at the thought of the hundreds I shot using a .22. Not all of the shots were successful. Where the other bullets ended up God only knows. Konnie
my understanding young rooks mainly, gather on branches as they start to learn to fly, quick way to thin them out at this stage.
JDog
What`s a brancher? Young rooks leave the nest and venture out onto the branches. They then practice flying by flapping their wings but at this stage they are unable to fly and make relatively easy 'sitting' targets.
