Another decoying outing

Please see below my latest video from Thursday 30th July.

The field is standing corn and the bottom of the field has been totally destroyed mainly from corvids. It was tricky to shoot as there was a road running up the left side of the field, so some of my shots were restricted and a lot of the birds I had to shoot close as I couldn't shoot them as incommers.

My shooting was very poor at the start but improved as the day went on and I finished with a bag of 50 birds.

Thanks for watching:

A good video with plenty of action , I am a subscriber. :) .

Cheers, it was a good day.

Looks like a great few hours out in the sunshine....

Nice shooting too, some great high shots.

Tedly

Don't get sunshine often here lol.

A couple of decent shots on a high pigeon & crow.

Yep, you started badly, but then made some lovely shots. Certainly plenty of blacks around to keep you occupied.

Not so many pigeons in Ireland but plenty of corvids. A few decent right & lefts made the day memorable.

Hardly an easy shot amongst them, particularly the wheeling Jackdaws.

Well some of the first shots weren't the most difficult, but as you said after the first shot the jackdaws can be difficult when they wheel.

Thanks for the comments lads.

Really enjoyed that.

I love those high shots myself, never had a day like that, looks like great sport.

The camera does make some of the shots look higher than they actually are but there was a few decent shots. Cheers

Another great video Ollie, and cracking shooting. Fair play mate.

Cheers fella, doing any shooting yourself?

I have been doing the clays this past while, finding it tough to get out at the moment. We just bought a new house so I am DIY man for the time being. And had a baby so nearly impossible lol. But yours and others videos keep me going lol.

I know the feeling, I have a 10 month old and the shooting has def been curtailed lol.

Great video and great shooting Ollie. I've never been all that successful shooting corvids like that - their swirling causes great confusion for me. Not for you though -keep up the good work.

It defo can be confusing when they swirl after the first shot; however, as long as you don't rush the shot & concentrate on the one bird it's fine. You all set for the start of September?
