Good couple of hours on the Pea's

Got the call I was waiting on from the farmer to say the peas were harvested and the place was moving with pigeon (at last). Only had 90mins free yesterday, so popped up and got the decoys set up, they were pouring into the decoys before I could even get my truck parked away from them! Once set up in the hide I had a busy time shooting 30 for 60 shots in about an hour. Ended up running out of cartridges rather than running out of time!!

Went back up again and as I knew I had the birds from yesterday still to breast out, decided on 30 birds as my target, and again managed them for 62 shots in approx. 90mins of shooting. Maybe not the best average but I am happy enough with that. Could have shot 100birds today no problem had I wanted to stay in the hide for a few hours. Maybe tmrw :whistling:

With that ratio im presuming you were firing from the hip so pretty good going fella. That park looks well too wet for a Navara too,did you get it oot yet?

It would be higher if I had shot from the hip ;-) Dinny call me hipster fur nothing you know mate

It's a better ratio than I normally manage but I do take on all comers.

Must confess I did take on a few silly shots right enough

I concur, probably struggle myself too and hes nay a bad shot.

I am worried hes nay been back on as that ground hes on looks to be mildly damp and that motor will need towed oot for sure.

I would have replied earlier but that's me just dug the Navara oot Dave, wit a palaver

Hmmmm That was never confirmed ??? Would it count if a reasonably steady Lab hadn't picked them??? LOL doesn't beat 3-4-1 though  41 Scuts & 3 woodies is not bad for a couple of hours with FUDS
decoys    Sent young Bilbo for a look-see when we had packed up & picked another couple way out that I never saw drop :/ He did well on the distance stuff though which surprised me
