Tomo-1
As the title says......I have had this cartridge belt for ages and it is still in good shape apart from the cartridges falling out if its not upright. Any tricks to tighten it? I was thinking of wetting it, but thought I may ruin it. Thanks.
Guest rimotu66
The only thing I can think of is to soak it, I wouldn't think it would ruin it so long as you dry it out properly and treat it.
humperdingle
Any idea what kind of leather it is?
Andy135
Leather feed might help to swell it. You may have to feed it several times before it absorbs enough though.
Yellow Bear
Almost any leather once stretched will not shrink again. Soaking chrome leather will just harden it temporarily - oak tanned(bridle) will soften and become plastic but does not shrink and hardens slightly on drying. Only rawhide(and it is unlikely that the belt is of this) will shrink slightly.
bruno22rf
Would gluing half an empty shell case inside the loop work?-or try Timpsons or any shoe repair co. and see if they can run a line of stitching up one side of the loop about a mm inside the existing stitch. steve_b_wales
Have a word with mel b3 on here. His wife works magic with leather, and may be able to help you.
barney 66
Another row of stitching up the side of each loop, as above ask mel b3 if his wife can do it if you can't Edited November 16, 2015 by barney

Doggone
I wouldn't recommend it, but I once microwaved a wallet that my wife put in the washing machine. It was hilarious, it shrunk to about a quarter of its original size. Andy

Until we have an idea of what kind of leather the belt is made of, any suggestions may do nothing or have the opposite effect than is desired.
