daz2202
An extremist has just stabbed some poor commuter in the neck in an east London tube station whilst shouting off his love for Syria. Not good. Some poor ****** and his family's life has changed forever

Fuddster
police appear to have deployed a taser. Corbyn wont be happy-perhaps a less lethal, mildly suggestive, non threatening stance could have been adopted by the unarmed officer? sadly some poor guy has suffered. f. Liamey
Yes too bad only a taser was used. In an ideal world the scum who did this would have been thrown onto the live rail, save you all the expense of do gooder legal aid lawyers. Hope the victim makes it through ok. jonny thomas
The attending officer should surely have sent a strongly worded letter to the attacker this would have solved any issue they could then have sat around a table and nagotiated In all seriousness I hope the poor soul who got stabbed is ok

daz2202
Met police should be armed and in these situations be ordered shoot to kill. I'm afraid this is a single terrorist and will be the first of many. If he loves his homeland of Syria so much the why doesn't he in polite words 'go back there'

FalconFN
This doesn't appear to be an organised attack but some lunatic out for 'revenge', but the only way we'll know for sure is by interrogation and you can't interrogate a dead man. I suspect there will be more loonies coming out the woodwork over the coming weeks and months, but I fear the organised, coordinated attacks that are certainly being planned much more. FalconFN
Isn't that giving in to terrorism by erroding our open and democratic system?
guest1957
Legal aid has benefitted many vulnerable people. To undermine people who do that work is grossly unfair. And out of context given the terrible events.

Liamey
Stones and glass houses I see I have upset you lovebirds, but you will just have to get over it. In an attempt to get this back on track, has anyone seen updates on the incident? Not sure of the condition of the other two people who were also injured. The one who got slashed across the neck seems to be in a serious but non life threatening condition. digger
No more than we coped with before. And we did cope when the threat was a lot closer from home. One lunatic with mental health issues is no Hyde Park bomb. its no blowing up of a Brighton hotel. It is a clearly deranged individual. Those above name calling is why this will be locked, it's not "let's see how far we can go before its locked o clock "

Given you derailed things by attacking a hard working group of individuals (i.e. Legal aid soliciors) with a pointless political slur it is somewhat rich to try and 'get things back on track'. Is it not possible to discuss a serious incident without putting the boot in?
