Dougy
I always set up just 50 odd yards or so up the drive to the farm, load magazine mod on and 1 up the spout but bolt 1/2 open, check NV illuminator is all central then carry on up the lane, pulling over in the gateways on the way to scan wth the thermal for fox's. Well 1st gate and scan showed a fox to my right about 150yds sitting in front of a fallen trunk, no shot as no definite ID and a Hall behind, It must have winded me as it ran just seconds later, ID was 100% fox so watched it run into a small valley were it was lost only to appear further away towards some woodland, it hesitated just long enough to get a shot to get on 230 yards..Off sticks again,,, sorry telling porky pies lol,,, a sort of stick,,, a gate post lol This was very likely the dog that tarting with the vixen from last night, same area same time..
