davids3511
Ive never bought a second hand gun but im after two tomorrow at Malmo. Is it rude to haggle or not the done thing? Looking to spend about £1200.
robbiep
If I was going into a gunshop looking at buying 2 guns at the same time, I'd expect a discount, yes. But if you don't ask, then it's not likely to be offered.

Davyo
The minimum you should come away with is a couple of boxes of carts.
davids3511
It is a profit making organisation, not a charity!Im not saying it is a charity. Im merely trying to figure out whats acceptable and whats rude. I dont expect them to give them away.
Scully
I've always found them good to deal with, even when I've had to turn away in embarrassment at mate 'pushing it'. We did come away with two free hats, amongst other things. Truly embarrassing.
dougall
1.make sure you like the guns first! dont worry about 'the deal' ensure you are getting the product you want. If it transpires you like both guns...I would say I was really after the 1 gun but if I purchase both today is there something you can do?Absolutely no harm in asking.Don't expect huge discount though as gun margins at this level are small.I presume you will want cleaning kits/oil/jags/cartridges/gunslips.........I would lay it on the table by saying can you please price up for all the following........and then leave it to them who will at that point I would suspect offer a sweetener or 2. Livefast123
A gun is not a magical item, I would haggle in the same way as if I was buying a car/ house /washing machine etc. As long as you are polite and not crude then you have nothing to lose. Haggling seems to be the way of business for the rest of the world but the UK seem to shy away from it.

davids3511
Bought two Franchi, one a harrier deluxe and one Alcione one. Both guns fit and feel comfortable. Got a free gun slip worth £35. Didn't push it though. I nearly didnt get the Alcione, I had to tell them they had two identical on gunwatch, one of which had a deposit put on it. Great to deal with though. No pressure and nice to deal with. Just cant find anywhere open today to go shoot at.

Mr.C
Me "Is that price solid or is there some movement?" Gun dealer "No price is fixed these days." As long as you're polite I don't see any problem with doing a deal. If they treat you right you'll return.

Yes, looking at their calendar 2pm is last entry. How does Cloudside compare to Worsley? Hopefully the access road is better! Access to Cloudside is similar to most grounds, single track road up a hill. Nothing like as bad as Kelbrook though.
