Cross border foxing

Friday night saw me with passport in hand, rifle in truck on my way to England to meet a friend who has fox issues on one piece of ground. Passport control was lacking which is always good

Met up with my friend and set out after a fox. The ground is only 15 or so acres so it is a case of lots of calling and not much luck most of the time. After about 1 1/2 hours we finally saw a flash of eyes in the lamp on the next farm across. Over to the NV and gave a last burst on the foxpro with the Vixen call playing. The fox came through the fence and into a shootable position at around the 85 yard mark. He fell to a chest shot with an 80 grain soft point. We stopped for another 20 minutes and called it a day. The fox was a big dog in cracking condition.

Thanks for reading

Nice 1 Mike. :good: Make sure your mates got a up to date visa etc before he comes over to Wales. atb Terry

He isnt invited. The Welsh control is a lot more fussy so he wouldnt get in

Leggy fox. Now get back where you belong lol.

Cheeky devil...already back. I have to be careful not to be the wrong side of the border during daylight hours.

Nice rifle - 750 on top?

Don't joke about border control - Leanne Wood would be the first to go for it despite the fact she had to learn Welsh. :whistling:

Howa 1500 in .243, varmint with the laminate thumbhole stock and a Pulsar N750A on top. Had the set up for just shy of 2 years and love it.
