dob
I am getting light bouncing back off my mod when I use my night master, tried covering my stainless mod and putting tape on the bottom third of objective and moved torch as far back on the scope as I can so I am considering taking the mod off when I use the rifle for solo foxing . Will it affect accuracy much over a shooting distance of 150yrds max?
Guest stevo
think your find your point of aim( zero ) will most certainly change if you take mod off after zeroing with it on , i had a simlar problem , all i did was cut a peice of thin black card about 5" long and fitted it around the lens on the NM so it looked a sun shade for a scope and just taped it on , worked a treat Edited January 30, 2016 by stevo
oldypigeonpopper
hello, mod? do you mean a silencer? would a short piece of old rubber black inner tube fit over? might stop reflection.
billytheghillie
someone on here was making shades on one of those printer things, and selling them.
dob
Tried a black sleeve for mod , made no difference . The same light works fine on my .17 hmr with a smaller mod so assume the mod on my .223 is the issue
dob
someone on here was making shades on one of those printer things, and selling them. I got one off here but my scope is very close to the barrel so when I fit it to scope it puts my zero out by 5inches at 100 yards.
Bewsher500
Black sock, end cut off Tape both ends But if you can get the torch right back so it casts a shadow over the mod it is better

kent
Yes most do change poi some of it is the harmonic whip some is the reduction in flip on recoil Worse on deer calibres hardly anything on rimfire if at all Thing is though you can record the adjustment required to re- dial in
Blackbart
Solved this on mine by fitting sunshade to scope. Tried covering mod with all sorts and didnt work. The scope extension worked perfect.
mick miller
The cover that obscures the lower third can work really well on air rifles and rimfire rifles, but if you have a wide suppressor on a centre fire rifle the technique doesn't always work. You need a narrower suppressor my man, and they don't come any narrower than the MAE PES T12. Fortunately, they seldom come any better either.
