Gun Watch
Ithaca Gun Co. 37 featherlight £525 20 gauge Shotgun Private Seller Used - Excellent Condition South Shields, Tyne and Wear Pump Action, 1/2 Choke, -, 26" barrels Description a very rare american Ithaca 20g featherweight pump. This gun loads and ejects from the bottom of the chamber so is truly ambidextrous. I was attracted to this as I'm a leftie and I liked the small company hand made values and engineering. It was in fine condition when I bought it but I went through it and changed all screws, extractor and firing pin for "new old stock" genuine ithaca parts. This is a little gem but I just don't use it, also looking for an early 687 may px This gun is being sold by Pigeon Watch member sanibel686. Scully
Nice example dont see alot of the Ithaca marque in the UK. There is a very very nice example in Malmo Guns. Was sorely tempted myself, but had just traded in a S1 20 bore; am after a S1 12 pump, preferably a Model 12 or 1897, and preferably the Trench model. Was sorely tempted myself, but had just traded in a S1 20 bore; am after a S1 12 pump, preferably a Model 12 or 1897, and preferably the Trench model. Trench Model? Section 5....irrespective of magazine capacity, as they have a 20" barrel...so nearest options are 24" or de-act. My model 12 is getting chopped to 20" after being de-activated. Have a possible lead on a correct Model 12 heat shield to suit it. My 1897 (S.1) has the same serial no. range as the US Army 97's used in the Molo uprising in 1902? Scully
That's a shame; wasn't aware of that. York Guns (when it was a proper gunshop in the city) had a Model 1897 Trench gun, complete with bayonet in the window when I once called in. I should have bought it back then. Scully
It was about 1981 when I saw it. I remember by the girl I was going out with at the time. If I'd bought it back then it wouldn't even have been registered.

It'd have been a 20" so a Section 1 = registered A normal (then) SGC S.2 that would NOT be registered would be along the lines of a 10-rd pump-action with folding stock.... sanibel686
It's a three shot you can see the proof house stamps in the picture I think

That's fair point; hadn't considered barrel length. Explains a lot.

impala59
And I think impala59 now owns most of them! I wish! This does look like a very nice example which would grace anyone's cabinet. If money were no object............... There is a very very nice example in Malmo Guns. I actually went up to Malmo (when taking my other half to see the Blackpool illuminations)to look at the one they had on offer, they were selling it or a customer and could not negotiate. I thought that one was a bit over-priced and something didn't feel quite right about it, Still, its gone now either sold or withdrawn, hope someone is enjoying it. They also had an Ithaca/SKB semi which was quite nice
saddler
from mr wood?? Nope...not one of Alan's. Twas a very very rare Vietnam dated Gerber Mark II I've done about three swaps of shotguns for knives.
saddler
...a Sect 1 12g DSPS for a knife? ??? HAD been Section 1....but the chap I'd brought ot off neutered it onto SGC. SO even with a longer looking magazine it was a 2-round capacity. If I see another on FAC I'd be all over it like a tramp on a bag of chips
