The Mighty Prawn
We pay the princely sum of £41 per month covering full rebuild and £40k of contents Much will depend on things particular to your circumstance - where is the house, what do you do, how is the house built, flood risk etc so hard to compare anyone else's policy like for like

bruno22rf
£41/month? TheMightyPrawn? - that's expensive unless you have a huge claims record.
norfolk dumpling
Careful who you select - price isn't everything - and also be truthful about your claims record, proximity to rivers etc as there is a tendency to wriggle out of claims! dougall
often best to have separate.depends upon type of house/post code/named items/excesses etc etc...go on comparison sites as starter and READ the small print. If one policy looks very cheap there will be a reason.........if you cannot be bothered to read the small print google independent insurance broker and get them to do the work.atb. mel b3
its worth spending half an hour on price comparison sites , i was paying lloyds tsb over £1,000 per year(i had been doing for years) , im hopeless when it comes to things like this and i just thought that everyone paid the same , my good lady took over and i now pay less than £200 per year for the same cover , we also do the price comparison thing with car insurance now , i just didnt realise that direct line had been having my pants down for years.
