steve_b_wales
I'm looking at buying one of the above, mainly to take on holidays/travel. My hair is 'clipped' on a zero setting with my Wahl electric clippers, but they are heavy. I need a battery operated one. Anyone use one, and what's the best make? figgy
Wife's a hairdresser and when I was working abroad for a few months she flew out for a weeks stay with me. I asked her to cut my hair so we bought a babyliss set including rechargable clippers wife was surprised and used them for years leaving her expensive commercial whal in the cupboard. The Babyliss were ceramic self sharpening blades.

ph5172
I have the Remington Quick Cut Battery lasts about 40mins and the cutter blades seem to be double the size of others, fits in the hand nicely and waterproof so just rinse under the tap. Only downside it comes with a carry pouch that allows you to take the trimmer and 2 of the lower graded combs (or one 13mm one) - It could do with a separate bag for the others. One of the guys in the office had one of those in the palm circular ball type trimmers, he used it once and after coming in looking like he had done it dunk went out and bought a normal set - we deducted he was just using the one arm so when he leant over the other side of his head the blades were lifting slightly, making is hair resemble a relief map of wales! figgy
If you clip on zero would a box razor not be better for a holiday. Once the first week and all done.
