Darrsn
Going for a berreta. Taken on board what most of yous have said . Makes sence to get a good quality secondhand gun than a new not so branded gun. The gun I'm looking at tomorrow is a silver pigeon of a lad from this forum

NorfolkAYA
Lincoln would get my vote but If you put any gun in the right place it will do the job wether it's a £50 baikel or £1500 browning. The fit of the gun is most important.
Scully
I've being looking around for a second hand o/u but there ain't much around . I seen a browning medalist in mint condition multi choked for £600 in my local gunshop but they ain't the gun are though they where . Would like a berreta/ miruko/ browing but hard to find here in Cumbria . I've a budget of £900 for the right gun Lakeland Guns in Workington? Low Mill Ranges in Cleator Moor? Gardner's Guns just outside Carlisle? Browns Sporting Guns in Carlisle? Malmo Guns? just down the M6 ( they had a lovely pristine condition 101 in earlier this month ) Browns Sporting Guns in Carlisle? Fawcetts Sporting Guns just down the M6 in Lancaster? Out of the OP's choices I'd opt for the Franchi simply because I owned one and have experience of others and have always found them to be very good quality guns. I have no experience of the others. Scully
I've got a cracking little 101 XTR for sale at £750. I purchased it 3/4 years ago after looking at various options as previously mentioned on this thread. Very good guns for the money imo Any pics? Which model? Alycidon
I picked up a mint 2006 browning b425 m/c elite (grade 3) hunter for less than your budget. It could of been shipped to your rfd for that price. I picked up a mint 2006 browning b425 m/c elite (grade 3) hunter for less than your budget. It could of been shipped to your rfd for that price. A far far better buy in my book. I made the same mistake buying my first shotgun over 40 years ago, my budget stretched to a Laurona, but for a few quid more I should have bought a Miroku. In due course I did trade up. A
tbox
Cant comment on a Franchi but I've got a betti - no problems with it, but having had a go on a friends Lincoln I reckon it's slightly nicer put together than the betti. But whatever fits you will be the right answer mate.

HoTsHoT-10
Very nice. Thanks for that. Only selling as I've bought a very nice super grade, if it doesn't sell soon enough I'll probably end up keeping it
