colin j
Hi. I have a Revo Venator Deluxe (2 year old semi auto 12 Ga) Starting to have a problem where the cartridge wont always eject properly. It partially ejects leaving it sticking out of the chamber. hence next cartridge can't load. I have tried several brands of cartridge but still happens from time to time. any ideas or suggestions would be great. thanks
wisdom
Have you tried a very thorough clean including gas ports (if it's a gasser).then a relube? Edited May 1, 2016 by wisdom
Stonepark
Sounds like it might need a strip and clean, Youtube usually have some good guides, but take apart as much as possible, remove trigger group (and soak in wd40), clean all the crud off all surfaces and joints with a toothbrush or gun cleaning brush, use needle or fine awl to clean gas ports, drain and clean trigger group, lightly lube everything and put back together. I strip my auto at least once every 1000 rounds for a thorough clean.

Either you have an extractor problem or the ejector is sticking, as above, first thing is to give it a good clean.

Cosd
As said, a good clean is always a must with semi auto's, but can you tell us what length cartridges you are using? Many Semi's don't like cartridges less than 67mm. What length and weight carts have you tried?
TDS
Clean and then polish your chamber with wire wool...cartridges may be sticking to the walls Clean your mag tube , I had a similar problem as yours with a Rem 1100 , it was the cartridge follower not sliding smoothly and stuttering up the tube Could be the cartridges , not having a nice defined rim May be the extractor claw slipping over the cartridge rim..you can rectify this by making an undercut with a swiss file to make more of a hook profile... Lastly clean your gas ports...
jonny thomas
Try some gamebore 28g hv's if it won't eject them there's a fault with the gun
figgy
Give it a proper clean as others have said and try a different cartridge. You've not said what cartridges you using or if you have cleaned the gun.
ChrisAsh
I cannot advise using wire wool anywhere on a gun its asking for long term trouble all those little bits break off and can find many places to hide, after a incredibly short time they will rust and start the parts next to it rusting and so on, time you see the rust its to late. the only place to use wire wool is on woodwork removed from the gun when removing old oil or varnish
