Davyo
We buy any car just phoned me. I said "I'm not interested mate you didn't offer me enough!" He said fair enough he'd note it down and take me off. Guess we'll see if they phone again ... They will mate & bombard you with emails
four-wheel-drive
Go to your nearest auction and put your car through it. Remember there are costs though. I would just put it in autotrader!! The problem with using Autotraider is the cost when I put my Vitara on a few years ago it was about £30 a week I think ok if you get a quick sale but after all selling a car you are just waiting for the rite person to come along. four-wheel-drive
They will mate & bombard you with emails That is why I never give out my house phone number if I have to give a phone number I give my mobile number I take it with me but do not have it switched on unless I am expecting a special call so I just have to delete a lot of emails and texis. herby
£30 is ok as it will get your ad out to the right audience and if it is reasonably priced it should go. Other auction sites attract the wrong person and you will be bombarded with people asking you to swap for an X box ect Car auctions they tend to go through a little cheaper good for buyer not so good for seller. Just my personal opinion of course
Rewulf
How does that work and how do you go about it ? For a private man to put a car through BCA is a bad idea IMHO . If memory serves me correctly (I stopped dealing with them many years ago) there is a £200 indemnity, plus entry fee, commision % then + vat Selling a £5k motor will cost you £500 minimum. Use autotrader,or free ads, even ebay at a pinch. A note about WBAC , if anyone fancies giving them a try,by all means go for it,its a free market ,and some desperate people need cash quickly. However, they will attempt daylight robbery of your vehicle, that is their job. For every person that tells me the experience was 'ok' 10 tell me it was terrible and they felt cheated. Like I say ,Im flabbergasted they are still trading.
HDAV
There are smaller local auction houses like Merthyr MMA and one in port talbot by Pinetree and one in Cardiff I know of. Depends how fast you need the money and how much hassle you are prepared for.
Lloyd90
I've got a few bumps on the car, going to get a quote to fix em next week. I'm assuming it's better off to have them fixed then sell it ? I imagine it's a couple hundred to sort.
