reggiegun
Well what an excellent day my son and I had at Colin and Phil's shoot. I would like to say a big thank you to the pair for the best hospitality we have ever been shown on a pheasant shoot, second to none. Plus a good show of strong high flying birds, added a couple of photo's for people to see. Apologies for the pictures but any longer range snaps never came out as it was wet and damp and the camera was steamed up. shoot and be safe
Looks like you had a good day and I remember my time there last year. Colin and Phil are great hosts and well done to them for donating the prize. Was there any nipple cake on offer this year?

PhilR
I'm glad you and Alix had an enjoyable day and the miserable weather didn't dampen your spirits too much. We are only a small farm shoot and cannot guarantee how much sport will be had. For the record the bag was 83 pheasant, 1 partridge, 1 woodcock and 3 other for 240 shots. Alix shot the first bird of the day, a magpie and won £8 in the sweep, half of which goes to the Game Conservancy. Had he come a couple of weeks earlier he'd have got the rollover jackpot of £270, which ColinF managed to win. Siberian Tiger was the owner of the second raffle ticket number to be called out at the charity shoot and was gutted to have missed our prize. We had a syndicate member unable to shoot on Saturday and she was offered the opportunity to shoot instead and ably filled his boots. Her chauffeur, gun bearer and loader for the day was none other than Canthitathing, well known on the Northern clay missing circuit.😉 Edited November 15, 2016 by PhilR

PhilR
ColinF is the shoot captain and we decided to offer the day jointly, so I'm only 50% responsible😊 The dog is Larry and he helps his dad push the hedges up and on stop duty👍
